Gaydos After Dark–Thursday, January 31, 2008

California Governator Arnold Schwarzenegger is endorsing John McCain for President! What a team of action heroes they make! So, tonight, we’ve got “The Top 7 Titles of a John McCain/Arnold Schwarzenegger Movie”!

Tonight, it’s one sizzling, action-packed hour of Gaydos After Dark! You’ve heard all about the tax rebate checks coming soon to the mailboxes of U.S. citizens, but did you know that it’s possible for illegal aliens to receive the rebates as well?! How–tell me–how will this money help our economy if illegals send it right home to Mexico?!

Gaydos After Dark–Wednesday, January 30, 2008

Oooooh, the candidates are dropping like flies, ladies and gentlemen, so tonight we kick off Gaydos After Dark with “The Top 7 Reasons John Edwards Dropped Out of the Presidential Race”!

Barack Obama spoke in Phoenix today and 92.3 KTAR was the only radio station to bring you the entire speech! The Valley is obviously incredibly excited about Obama and I have been too! However, at this point, my excitement is waning because I think he sounded smug tonight! His ripping on Cheney and Bush was mean-spirited and cheap! Who was this guy and what did he do with the inspiring Obama?! We hear highlights from the speech and get your thoughts through 9:30!

After the news at 9:30, we talk the vote with Eleanor Clift from The McLaughlin Group! Does it matter that McCain won Florida’s primary? Where does Giuliani go from here? Who will get the votes that would have gone to John Edwards? Eleanor will tell us!

We end tonight’s show with a quick listen to John Edwards’ “campaign suspension” speech. “Suspending his campaign”? Let’s not mince words, your campaign crapped out so you dropped out!

Gaydos After Dark–Tuesday, January 29, 2008

After today’s Florida Primary, it looks like the end for Giuliani, and I say it’s his own fault! We start tonight’s show with “The Top 7 Signs Rudy Giuliani Ran the Worst Campaign in American History”!

As the primary ballots are counted in Florida, Gaydos brings you the victories, the defeats and the speeches that go along with both! We’ll hear from Giuliani, Romney and the G.O.P. winner, Senator John McCain! The Giuliani campaign gives up the ghost tonight and it’s probably time for Romney to do the same!

At 8 o’clock, I hope McCain is enjoying his victory even though it’s blatantly undeserved! McCain has been distorting Romney’s words and making it sound like Romney’s going to yank troops out of the Middle East and give the whole region back to Al Quaeda! Liar, liar, liar!

After 9, it’s the story of a New York sushi restaurant that sets the cut-off for their kids’ menu by height! Why not by age? Heck, why not by weight? For that matter, why don’t we just section off our eateries into the Fat Section, the Ugly Section and, for Gaydos and his like of course, the Smoking Hot Section? Headbanger Hanna Scott shares her thoughts on the subject as well!

Hanna is back with us at the end of the show. She spent the day at University of Phoenix Stadium schmoozing with a bunch of New York Giants and she brought Gaydos a big surprise in preparation for the Big Game!

Gaydos After Dark–January 28, 2008

Gaydos After Dark takes the air at 8:30 tonight, following President Bush’s final State of the Union address!  Our fearless leader spoke briefly about immigration but spent more time addressing the war on terror.  Nancy Pelosi sat behind the president, apparently enjoying a big wad of chewing gum all the while!  Did she bring enough for everybody?!

As you might guess, Gaydos is no fan of Senator Ted Kennedy, but I’m loving the fact that he has turned his back on the Clinton camp to endorse Barack Obama.  Sounds like even a loser like Teddy sees even bigger losers when he looks at the Clintons!  This is what we’re talking about at 9 o’clock!

At 9:30, we talk the vote with legendary ABC newsman Sam Donaldson!  Sam weighs in with sage wisdom on the day’s Democratic endorsements and Bill Clinton’s campaign trail escapades!

We end tonight’s show with a good laugh when we hear, Rudy Giuliani swears he’s going to win in Florida tomorrow!

Gaydos After Dark–Friday, January 25, 2008

Sylvester Stallone is getting pretty old, but he’s not dead yet and, strangely enough, neither is his film career! We kick off tonight’s Gaydos After Dark with “The Top 7 Surprises in the New Rambo Movie”!

During our first hour, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama did some serious sparring in South Carolina’s Democratic debate! She accused Obama of representing a slumlord, but The Today Show has pointed out to Hillary that she smiled for the camera and shot a photo with the very same scumbag! Hill says she doesn’t remember the guy and maybe that’s true. However, I think she asked for this kind of trouble when she started hitting Obama below the belt!

Suspected drug smuggler Jesus Navarro Montes ran over and killed a border patrol agent last weekend.  Mexican authorities have Montes in custody, but what if they make it tough for us to extradite and prosecute him?  It could very well happen!  Border violence is increasing and it seems to me, the Mexican government is way too willing to protect people who cross the border illegally and commit heinous crimes on U.S. soil!  By the way, I wish I were hearing something–anything!–from Janet Napolitano or John McCain on this matter!

8:30 brings us to our Friday night free speech free-for-all, “Up to 20″!

After 9, should schools be keeping students’ secrets for them?  Even when the secret is a pregnancy and the people they’re keeping it from are the parents?  You may not believe it, but I think that kind of confidentiality may be a necessity.

Our old friend Hollywood Dave is here at 9:50 to review the new Rambo movie!  Can Stallone brandish automatic weapons and his AARP card at the same time?!

Gaydos After Dark–Thursday, January 24, 2008

Apparently, it takes a lot more than elfin magic to propel a person into the White House! That’s why we’re bringing you “The Top 7 Reasons Dennis Kucinich Dropped Out of the Presidential Race”!

At 7 o’clock, I’d like a show of hands: who doesn’t like free money?! Tax rebates are coming soon and our government hopes you’ll stimulate the U.S. economy by running right out and spending the cash. Or are they just doling out money to get you to feel good about them?  Plus, I can’t help but think this money will be just another crutch in the hands of the poor!

At 8 o’clock, we’ll discuss the tools of an educator: books…chalk and chalkboard…and a 357 Magnum? Arizona state Senator Karen Johnson wants guns in the hands of teachers and staffers at your kid’s school! She says kids are vulnerable “like fish in a bowl.” So having teachers and janitors running around with guns will make them safe and snug as a bug in rug? What is Gaydos missing here?

At 8:55, Fred Taylor tells us about the upcoming Celebrity Golf Classic, which benefits the Southwest Prostate Cancer Foundation! He’s got info on just how to participate and help them save lives this weekend!

It’s Red V. Blue Thursday and Gaydos After Dark goes national during the first half of our final hour! We’ll talk to voters in South Carolina, where the Democratic Primary will take place this Saturday. We’ll find out if race is playing a role in this big decision for South Carolinians!

At 9:30, it’s the triumphant return of Presidential Match Game! Democratic champ Carlos and Republican challenger Roger try to match answers with our panel of stars! Headbanger Hanna Scott, young Gaydos apprentice Jarrett Carlen and presidential historian and scholar B. Nicks all return for Red V. Blue Thursday fun!

At 9:50, we take a moment to look back on tonight’s G.O.P. debate in Florida. We’ll find out what the candidates had to say on Iraq and the economy as the pressure builds down south!

Gaydos After Dark–Wednesday, January 23, 2008

Sounds like John McCain is way ahead of all other Republican candidates here in Arizona, so we’ll take a look at “The Top 7 Reasons John McCain is Leading in the Arizona Primary Polls”!

I can’t believe it myself, but in a recent poll, John McCain was favored by forty-one percent of voters to win Arizona’s February 5th Republican Primary! I cannot stress this enough: Arizonans must not vote for this guy! If they do, they must have been kidding around all this time when they said they cared about illegal immigration! If anything, we should send him a loud, clear message by not voting for him! This is our 7 o’clock topic!

At 8 o’clock, I’ll let you know how your Valley commute is about to get more dangerous, lengthy and inconvenient! ADOT has unveiled their new signs telling you how much longer you’ll be stuck in traffic, but I think they’re just one more thing for rubberneckers to gawk at! To top it off, these things are expensive and, so far, they aren’t even very accurate! I’d love to know what the Gaydos peeps think about this!

At 9 p.m., we talk about the catfight in Gilbert! One high school girl attacked another in the school lunch room and the victim fought back, only to find herself suspended along with the aggressor! KTAR news anchor and veteran catfighter Headbanger Hanna Scott joins Gaydos to talk about this crazy school policy!

Speaking of education in the U.S. today, a school in Georgia is paying students to stay late and study! The kids can make eight bucks an hour this way! During our last half hour, I’ve gotta tell you, I think it’s a great idea!

7 to 10, 7 to 10, 7 to 10, that’s how I roll!!!

Gaydos After Dark–Tuesday, January 22, 2008

There were major adjustments at the Fed today! We’ve seen nothing like it since the Reagan years! We kick off tonight’s show with “The Top 7 Signs We Really Are in a Recession”!

That’s right, we saw two major interest rate cuts from the Federal Reserve today! Also, George W. Bush is rolling out an economic incentive plan that could give many of us tax rebates in the near future! I want to know, will these rebate checks be much help to you? Are you hurting financially? What will you do with the money? It’s “Gaydos-nomics 101″ and it’s the topic of our 7 o’clock hour!

28-year-old actor Heath Ledger was found dead in his home today and some speculate that it may have been suicide, which really makes Gaydos think about the subject. I can’t imagine how tough things must be to drive someone to take his own life! At 8 p.m., I’m taking calls from those of you who’ve been touched, somehow, by suicide. Are there always signs? What should you do for yourself or a loved one who thinks about ending it all? We stay with this very serious subject through 9:30.

During our last half hour, we lighten the mood with our old friend Headbanger Hanna Scott and “Gaydos on the News”. I can’t help but applaud the state of Michigan for banning illegals from getting driver licenses! I’m also thrilled to tell you that Mike Huckabee’s campaign is broke!

Gaydos After Dark–Monday, January 21, 2008

Over the weekend my New York Giants knocked off the Packers and the Patriots got past the Chargers…not much of a surprise there! Since we now know it’s going to be my Giants taking on the Patriots in the upcoming Super Bowl here in Glendale, there’s no better time to present to you “The Top 7 ways to make the Super Bowl more exciting!”

Today was Martin Luther King Day, so during tonight’s first issue I ask each and every one of you, what would Martin Luther King say about illegal immigration? Would he support the immigrants or would he back those who say the laws must be obeyed, or some variation of both?

At 8 o’clock, we talked about the case of Yuma Border Patrol Agent Luis Aguilar. He was run over and killed by someone attempting to smuggle drugs or illegals into the U.S. and NO ONE IS TALKING ABOUT THIS CASE! Why isn’t their more outrage about this border violence? Hear why one caller says I’m with Al-Jazeera and a member of the KKK…and then has the gall to say my illegal alien girlfriend isn’t real Puh-lease…who does he think he’s kidding?!

The crown jewel of the Gaydos political team, Sam Donaldson kicks off the 9 o’clock hour. Sam and myself wrap up the Nevada Caucus and the South Carolina G.O.P Primary.  Then, we look ahead and talk about what to expect from the Dems’ upcoming primary in South Carolina this Saturday.

For the second half of the hour we talked about tonight’s Democratic debate and let me tell you, the sparks were flying!  John Edwards, Hillary Clinton, and Barack Obama all got into it on several occasions.

We wrap up the show with a few more reasons why I hate Mike Huckabee and the goons who endorse him. Mike Huckabee compared being gay to what?!

Gaydos After Dark–Tuesday, January 15, 2008

Two full hours of Gaydos After Dark follow tonight’s extended War Room coverage of the Michigan presidential primary!

After the first three big contests in the race for the White House, I can definitively say– with surety and confidence–I have no idea who is leading the G.O.P. race! Huckabee won Iowa, McCain won New Hampshire and tonight Romney won Michigan! It’s wide open! We try to sort it all out during the 8 o’clock hour!

At 9, we talk about Romney’s big victory speech! It was high on rehearsed audience participation, but pitifully low on passion! Someone, please, check Mitt and see if you can detect a heartbeat!

It’s not over yet, folks! There’s more War Room coverage this Saturday and Gaydos will be right in the middle of it! That’s just how I roll!
