Gaydos After Dark - Friday, February 29, 2008

Prince Harry’s on his way out of Afghanistan’s Helman Province after The Drudge Report posted details of his ten week fight on the front lines. Debate’s now been sparked if the third heir to the throne should’ve been risking his life at war as he could’ve jeopardized his comrades’ lives. The media kept the whole thing secret up till now though, so we’ve got “The Top 7 Signs Your Fellow Soldier is a Prince!”

We kick off the show debating if Prince Harry should’ve even been in Afghanistan in the first place. If he was taken captive by the Taliban, what sort of a nightmare would that cause? And was it wrong for The Drudge Report to leak the story?

At 8 o’clock, we update the story of Michael Wolfe, the boy who was the subject of an Amber Alert yesterday after his 15-year-old babysitter took him from his father’s house. Michael’s been taken by Child Protective Services because they say his father (Brett Wolfe) was negligent in screening the 15-year-old nanny (who claimed she was 19). What was this dad thinking?

Every Friday night at 8:30, we give back to you, the Gaydos Peeps and we go “Up to 20.” We devote twenty minutes and give each of you twenty seconds to sound off on the week’s biggest issues. People went up to twenty on CPS taking Michael Wolfe, as well as the woman who died on an airplane. Even Gaydos’ machismo was called into question!

At 9 o’clock, we broke down the new campaign ad Hillary Clinton distributed today. She asks who you want in the oval office at 3am making important decisions. Is it right to use fear in an ad? Come to think of it, do people even want Hillary in the Oval Office?

At 9:30, our head-banging News Anchor Hanna Scott joins us as we cover ten stories in ten minutes in a little segment we call “Gaydos on the News”!

We wrap up the show talking about John McCain’s most recent mistake on the campaign trail. Senator McCain’s been trying to bulk up his conservative image lately, yet, he had a Freudian slip when he referred to himself as a Liberal Republican…oops.

See ya Monday, Peeps. It’s GREAT to have Gaydos on the show!

Gaydos After Dark - Thursday, February 28, 2008

The New York Times continues to go after John McCain.  Today the story about how he might not be a “natural-born citizen” came out so we’ve got “The Top 7 signs John McCain is an illegal alien!”

Our first issue of the night was this situation for John McCain.  Should he be able to run for President of the United States even though he was born in Panama?  After some delibiration I think it would be fine if Senator McCain ran for President and the New York Times needs to get with it.

Our next issue was the Amber Alert case involving one and a half year old Michael Wolfe.  Wolfe’s dad Brett picked a live-in nanny off of Craigslist to come and watch little Michael.  He thought the girl was 19, turns out she was 15.  Oh that’s not all.  She was also a run away and a meth user!  As a parent who on this planet would look for a nanny off of a site where you can buy a table or a TV?  And wherever you go to find a nanny shouldn’t you conduct a background check?

Each and every Red v. Blue Thursday at 9:30 we play Match Game with our celebrity panel.  Tonight was no different.

We wrapped up the show making fun of President Bush, always a classy was to end the evening.

Gaydos After Dark–Wednesday, February 27, 2008

Starbucks coffee houses all over the place were closed for several hours yesterday, supposedly for employee training! Ladies and gentlemen, Gaydos doesn’t buy it, so we’ve got “The Top 7 Reasons Starbucks Closed Its Doors Yesterday”!

Our first hour is all about the cat fight between a Valley bus driver and a student.  The student is speaking out, but why?  Does she really think it’s going to make her look like less of a jerk?  Do you feel sorry for this girl?

After 8, we talk to Bill Cunningham, the radio personality who recently lambasted Barack Obama and repeatedly reminded people that his middle name is Hussein, a name that freaks a lot of Americans out!

9 o’clock brings us to “The Rated R Issue of the Night”!  A woman went on the new game show, “The Moment of Truth” and admitted that she loved her ex-boyfriend more than her husband!  Tonight, we find out your asking price for your darkest secrets!  Then, during our last half hour, I can hardly believe it, but we hear from a guy who comes clean about his infidelity on the Gaydos After Dark airwaves!  You won’t believe your ears!

Gaydos After Dark - Monday, February 25, 2008

Guess who decided to throw his hat into the ‘08 presidential race?  Nope, not him…or him…certainly not her. If you guessed Ralph Nader, you’d be correct.  So we’ve got “The Top 7 Ralph Nader Campaign Slogans!”

A picture surfaced today of Barack Obama wearing a turban and traditional Kenyan garb. Hillary Clinton’s camp denies making the photo public but come on…Gaydos knows better than that! Just how desperate is Hillary? Is there anything this woman won’t do to get back to the White House?

At 8 o’clock we bring you the most horrific way to get bumped to first class. Carine Desir died on an American Airlines flight bound for New York. Her cousin claims oxygen tanks and a defibrillator didn’t work (though the airline says they functioned properly).  Instead of propping her up in a seat, American employees placed a blanket over her and moved her to the floor in first class. How creepy is that? Where should this woman have been put on the plane?

At 9 o’clock Hollywood Dave breaks down the 80th presentation of the Oscars.

Legendary ABC newsman Sam Donaldson joins us at 9:30 as he does every Monday. We discuss what it means to have Ralph Nader jump into the race and we break down Hillary Clinton’s mood swings and back-and-forth behavior with Barack Obama.

We wrap up the show talking about loser Mike Huckabee’s appearance on Saturday Night Live. Will this guy EVER go away?

Gaydos After Dark - Friday, February 22, 2008

The Oscar’s are coming up Sunday night so we’ve got “The Top 7 signs your film isn’t going to win an Oscar”!

Girlfight! A fifteen year-old-girl and her female bus driver get into a cat fight on a school bus. To make matters even more interesting, the bus driver’s daughter was on the bus and she got involved in the hair pulling and cat scratching as well! Was the bus driver wrong to pull the bus over, or was this snotty teenage girl to blame for her poor behavior?

At 8 o’clock, the hair pulling talk continues as we debate whether the bus driver would have crashed the bus, had she not stopped it to discipline the girl.

Friday nights mean one thing! Well…actually, they mean lots of things! On Gaydos After Dark, I take twenty minutes and give each of you twenty seconds in a little segment I like to call “Up to Twenty!”

More misbehaving kids came up at 9 o’clock. A 17, 16, 14, and 13-year-old have been left at home by themselves because their mom went on strike! Can a Mom even do that? Are Mom’s allowed to go on strike? Who do you feel bad for, the Mom or the kids?

I guess Friday nights mean two things on Gaydos After Dark. Every Friday night we take ten minutes and talk about ten different stories; it’s “Gaydos on the News” and it’s fantastic! Our Headbanging news anchor Hanna Scott joins me to discuss J-lo giving birth, Gary Coleman getting in fights with his wife, Mike Huckabee’s wife staying in inappropriate places, and even Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon made the segment!

We wrap up the night with some Oscar predictions. We bring Hollywood Dave on the show to pick the Best Actor, Best Actress, and Best Film from the last year. I used a very unique method to pick my winners. We’ll have the results on Monday’s show.

Have a great weekend, and always remember it’s great to have Gaydos on the show!

Gaydos After Dark–Thursday, February 21, 2008

As of today, the McCain camp is mired in scandal! Starting off tonight’s Gaydos After Dark, we’ve got “The Top 7 Signs John McCain Had an Affair”!

Yes, at 7 o’clock, we discuss whether Senator John McCain had some kind of torrid, disgusting liaison with a lady lobbyist.  I hope he did! That would be fantastic! In fact, it would probably help him in his election bid!

Our second hour is all about the mighty — the courageous — the bold — Sheriff Joe! He went storming into a place where a hostage taker had demanded to speak to him! Sheriff Joe stood face to face with this terrifying, vicious, menacing…91-year-old wheelchair user! Even so, I think it was a pretty dangerous scenario for him to walk into.  But, is he a hero or a shameless publicity hound?

Just before 9, I’ll tell you how I’m feeling about the Shaq trade now that I’ve seen him in action with the Suns!

We’re talking the vote during our final hour, with notes on tonight’s Democratic debate at 9, followed by a positively awful new Hillary tribute I found on YouTube!

Then, at 9:30, join us for Presidential Match Game!  It’s one Republican, one Democrat and zillions of laughs as they try to match answers with our panel of stars!  It’s all part of Red V. Blue Thursday!

We finish tonight’s show with a deeper look at the emerging story of John McCain’s alleged relationship with a lobbyist; how he’s responding to the allegations and how they’ll affect his campaign.

Gaydos After Dark–Wednesday, February 20, 2008

Hillary Clinton isn’t ready to give up her quest for the presidency yet, so we’ve got “The Top 7 Hillary Clinton Plans to Regain Momentum”!

Coming soon to a freeway near you, instead of HOV lanes, you may be driving down toll lanes! Oh, that’ll be no problem if you’re rich! In fact, if we’re going to have lanes for the well-moneyed citizen, let’s divvy up the highway six ways Sunday! During our first hour, we’ll find out if you’re willing to pay to get around more quickly!

At 8 o’clock, Hillary has a new catch phrase: “Let’s get real!” Funnily enough, those are the exact same words that occur to Gaydos when thinking about Clinton’s chances of winning the White House!

The McLaughlin Group’s Eleanor Clift is here at 8:30! We’ll talk about Hillary’s continued primary losses and how the heck she could possibly pull off a win in the end!

At 8:50, you won’t believe what Obama did to get a standing ovation in Dallas! Ask any Obama fan and they’ll tell you, the sun rises and sets right up his nose!

To begin our final hour, we’ll talk about tonight’s successful deflection of a falling spy satellite! Or was it a satellite?! This half hour may sound a little paranoid, but hear me out, peeps!

“The Rated R Issue of the Night” comes out at 9:30! There’s a book out now in which a journalist details the way she uses animal obedience techniques to get her husband to behave! Gaydos cannot believe this! I, Gaydos, believe it or not, am, for once, speechless!

Gaydos After Dark–Tuesday, February 19, 2008

The longtime leader of Cuba is packing up his olive drabs and his stinking cigar and calling it quits! Tonight’s Gaydos After Dark begins with “The Top 7 Reasons Fidel Castro is Resigning”!

All we hear lately is Obama, Obama, Obama! The nation is excited about him! Even those of us who don’t agree with him love to hear him talk! However, it looks like he’s lifted some of his best lines from other speakers! This makes Obama look sleazy, like a typical politician! What a disappointment! We’ll discuss it until 8:50!

Finishing off our second hour, we’ll go back in time and pinpoint the moment…the exact, irrevocable moment…when Bill Clinton went crazy!

At 9, it’s the increasingly ominous subject of school shootings. Police from Arizona’s institutes of higher learning have cautioned legislators that arming students and teachers isn’t the answer! I wholeheartedly concur! After this week’s tragedy at NIU, we’ve got to turn our energy toward looking for the warning signs and keeping guns out of the hands of sick people! If we’re going to have anyone toting guns in schools, they should be trained professionals!

Gaydos After Dark–Monday, February 18-2008

Look out!  The U.S. is in the middle of the largest recall of beef ever, so it’s a fine time to bring you “The Top 7 Signs You’re Eating Tainted Beef”!

In the 7 o’clock hour, we’ll tell you about an Obama supporter who showed up and started heckling Bill Clinton at a stump speech!  He says the former president gave him a pop in the face!  Could this be true?!  If so — wow! — Hillary might have to fire him!

You won’t believe what they’re going to start teaching kids in school!  California state senators are trying to pass a bill that would have kids learning about global warming as if it’s a proven fact!  I don’t like it!  We can’t have schools hitting kids over the head with environmentalist propaganda!  It’s our 8 o’clock topic!

At 8:50, star reporter Sandra Haros gives us the details of today’s robbery-turned-cop- shooting!  Wait till you hear what the idiot criminal was willing to potentially kill and actually die for!

It’s Monday night and that means legendary ABC newsman Sam Donaldson weighs in on crazy Bill Clinton, the albatross around Hillary’s neck!  Also, during our 9 o’clock talk, we’ll ask Sam where John Edwards’ delegates will land and whether the president will support McCain!

Speaking of Bush and McCain, the senior George Bush is endorsing the Arizona senator!  I wonder if these two geezers compare notes on their swelling prostates!

After 9:30, Hanna Scott fights for her broadcasting life as we test her presidential knowledge!  She’ll have two lifelines and they’d better be good because, if she loses, she’s fired!

Gaydos After Dark–Friday, February 15, 2008

At 7 o’clock tonight, we speak with former Arizona Attorney General Grant Woods! He’s one of four panel members appointed by Mayor Phil Gordon to examine Operations Order 1.4. That’s the policy that would allow Phoenix police officers to ask people about their immigration status. Grant will break down the panel’s recommendations for us; then we’ll get your thoughts on whether this arrangement will help or hurt matters here in the Valley!

At 8:30, Friday night is the night for the Gaydos peeps to be heard loudly and clearly! I take twenty minutes and give you twenty seconds–ladies and gentlemen, I give you “Up to 20″!

Once again, we must discuss something senseless and tragic. Yet another school shooting shook the nation yesterday! Is this just going to keep happening? At 9 p.m., we’ll talk about how the hell we might finally answer that question with a big “No!

At 9:30, we’re joined by Headbanger Hanna Scott for “Gaydos on the News”! Among tonight’s big stories are Jane Fonda and her dirty little mouth, the blinding wardrobe choices of Swedish kids and an upcoming big blowout in space!

See you Monday, everybody! It’s great to have Gaydos on the show!
