If Obama stayed in Wright’s congregation, knowing the reverend’s feelings about this nation, I don’t know how you could vote for him!

Obama’s sudden denouncement on Friday, March 14, of HIS pastor’s history of inflammatory comments is much too late and does nothing but enhance my very cynical view of this man. How many times has Obama attended HIS church AFTER Pastor Wrong’s (Wright) 9/16/01 sermon about 9/11? Does it really matter, anyway? It is reasonable to conclude that between that time and 2006, when Wright delivered several more similar anti-American and anti-white sermons which included inflammatory remarks such as “in the United States of white America”), Obama’s relationship with HIS Pastor had actually strengthened, evidenced by his best-selling book - “Audacity of Hope”. And since then, Obama found a place for him on his campaign’s “spiritual committee”.
Obama explains that it is somewhat unfair that “thousands of hours of [Wright’s] positive preaching” are trumped by a few disturbing sermons (which he said he has just now become aware of!!??). Why doesn’t this “fairness and balance” doctrine apply when white people are similarly affected? Where was Obama when Howard Cosell, Jimmy “the Greek” Snyder, and most recently Kelly Tilghman of the Golf Channel, were overrun by the purported black leadership - Sharpton, Jackson, etc. - and forced to either quit or were suspended from their jobs for single comments that were wrongfully interpreted (in the case of Cosell and Tilgman) or were factual, but out-of-bounds (Snyder)?
Obama is not running for HOA president, or block-watch manager; he is one of three finalists for the most powerful position in the world - President of the US. We have every right to peel back the layers of his life, and he has every obligation to answer questions honestly and timely.
He must be evaluated not only by his words (rhetoric), but his deeds and actions. And don’t automatically neutralize the recent comments made by his wife about America. As one reflects upon those, although they are far less inflammatory and lack the sensational oratory strength of HER pastor, they are none the less similar in their context.
There had been a history of terrible sufferings of black Americans. But it is a HISTORY that has not been repeated for decades (and in the case of slavery, for 130 years).
The vast majority of ALL AMERICANS - black, white, yellow, red, etc - are distressingly tired of the very few in each of these races who perpetuate personal and distorted agendas without regard of their neighbors and fellow Americans who recognize the opportunities for prosperity, safety, and freedom that embody this great country in the 21st century.
Unfortunately, because of these developments (and others), Mr. Obama has seemingly cannot be trusted to be a President to all Americans.
