Gaydos After Dark–Thursday, May 8, 2008

Our mayor is lashing out at his critics with a lot of name-calling! “Sticks and stones,” Phil. “Sticks and stones”! Tonight we’ll bring you “The Top 7 Signs Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon Has Gone Nuts”!

Through 8:30, we’re discussing the mayor and his harsh words against those who’d like to see his election recalled. He’s actually been referring to the members of American Citizens United as Nazis, racists and skinheads! You’ll find that pretty unlikely after we talk to ACU’s Philip Quihuis, who assures us that people belonging to hate groups are barred from the organization!

At 8:30, a man runs out of his house and shoots the guy who’s trying to steal his truck! Maybe you’ll disagree, but I can’t say I think it was the smartest thing to do!

The McLaughlin Group’s Eleanor Clift talks the vote with us at 9! Among other things, we’ll consider a comment from Hillary Clinton that some are saying was racist!

Red V. Blue Thursday continues at 9:30 with Presidential Match Game! Headbanger Hanna Scott, presidential historian and scholar B. Nicks and young Gaydos apprentice Jarrett Carlen are our panel of stars! One Republican and one Democrat will match wits and answers with them for fun and luxurious, glittering prizes!!!

A while back we had a meeting with (at the time) Rep. Phil Gordon, about keeping 7th ave opened. Phoenix, wanted to close it for a school. At the meeting he talkied the whole time about his career. At the end he assured us he would keep it opened.
At the City Meeting, he voted to close it. Vote was 5-2 to keep it opened. Phil lied. Phil lost.
How he got to Mayor of Phoenix, is beyond any of us.
I say impeach him and let him go back East, where he belongs.
    And I don’t think I’m a racists because I don’t like him.
