Gaydos After Dark–Thursday, May 15, 2008

At 7 o’clock tonight, we’ll hear from one of many young rape victims who are reaching out for help.  The problem is that this sixteen-year-old and many others are seeking that help online.  This worries me, ladies and gentlemen.  Can’t these kids confide in their parents?  There’s got to be a better, safer, more effective way for victims to get the support they need.

Oh no!  At 8 o’clock, is it over for Obama?!  He made a big mistake when he called a female reporter “Sweety”!  Bad move, Senator!  Women aren’t okay with that!  We’ll hear the big flub, as well as the apology that followed!

I guess Obama just couldn’t catch a break today because, at 8:30, we’ll hear President Bush ripping on the Democratic candidate during a speech in Israel!  I’d say this was the first barrage in what will be an ongoing campaign of slamming Obama in order to help put McCain in the White House!

It would probably frighten you if you knew the operator at the 9-1-1 switchboard was indifferent to your call for help!  We’ll hear one operator express exactly that sentiment as we start our final hour!  The guy lost his job and you may think he deserved it, but I wonder if he really did.  Hear me out, people!

Today, the California Supreme Court found the ban on same-sex marriage unconstitutional!  I guess that settles it!  No, actually, I’m sure it doesn’t.  I say gays should be allowed to marry, but the argument isn’t over yet.  It’s sure to be a political football this election season!
