Online affairs can definitely happen and it is definitely cheating! Just because someone isn’t having sex doesn’t mean that he isn’t becoming emotionally attached which MEANS he is devoting his emotional and psychological needs on a person he “falls in lust” with. This is his way of having his cake and eating it too. The thrill of doing it around his wife’s back is also appealing to him. She’s probably starting to notice that he’s way more interested in jumping on the computer than spending time with her and fixing the problem in the first place. She needs to confront the woman and the man. $10 says he’s lied to her about him and anything having to do with him just to spend time with her.
I’m disgusted that you blame his affair [in this scenario] on the wife! It takes two to tango and there are underlying issues that needs to be addressed. And this also happens the other way around … I’m not going to dismiss that.

Read “His Needs, Her Needs”. Good book. Depositing into another’s love bank accrues interest and wealth. Withdrawling from another’s by not paying attention to them does obviously the opposite. Just talking to someone else online makes deposits. While you are avoiding your spouse at home, you are making withdrawls with them. When your affair buddy has a larger amount of deposits from you than your spouse does, it is too late.
