The cards have big issues trying to keep the core. As much as I love Boldin, he pretty much wrote his own exit. He signed a contract and later complained when Fitz got his due. Patience would've gotten him his too. Cards may use his trading stock while it's still good to free up more funds. We would still be fine if he were to leave.

The OL needs much work, which will in turn take care of the running. No one can be consistently successful in running behind our current OL. Get Gandy & Brown up to par or find someone else. Brown looks exactly like the player the sportswriters wrote about. A young Leonard Davis unable to move his feet. Russ did wonders with the offensive line in the play-offs but the regular season habits may have costed the big game. There were times we couldn't keep our blocks long enough or at all for that matter. To be honest, Our OL was not that good this year. Coach Whiz would most likely vouch for Russ but his group is in trouble.

If the cards want to continue to be a passing team, then keep warner (1) more year. Kurt likes to pass but our protection is suspect. We at least need the threat of running. I can see Egerrin leaving & I don't blame him. He's a dedicated hard worker that was not treated fairly. I know our run game suffered, but the backs are not to blame. Play calling & OL are the biggest issues.

Must keep the Whiz. He handles the authority like a true pro. As complicated as the NFL teams structures may be, Ken is good at keeping it all together. We most certainly need his mental toughness.

Wilson is the defensive pulse. Losing him is like starting over. He's a linebacker type safety that gives eveything. These guys are hard to find. Ask the Steelers & Eagles. Dockett needs Smith to be successful. His immature ways may show even more without his mentor at his side. It's an all or nothing situation. I'd rather keep them both. Dansby would probably be expendable. he's given good efforts but hasn't quite presented himself as a feared linebacker. We need Wilson type aggression in this position.

I can't understand why Haley is so well liked around the league. From us fans point of view, we're always wondering who called that last play. He may be good but I think he out-thinks himself at times. The superbowl was a perfect example. Our athleticism makes him look better than he really is. Coach Whiz can bring up a young talent in the league for much less money if he's tempted to shop around. If he likes being here, keep him. It can't get much worst.

Leinart is also expendabe. Looking for quarterbacks high in the draft is probably not smart these days. Too much money is thrown at these guys only to see them go bust and be stuck with their salaries. I would look for a more seasoned backup waiting in the wings. Matt Cassell like candidates. The rookie we cut in the training season wasn't that bad. I certainly would've kept him for the money.
